About Waste-to-Energy

Industrial biogas plants represent a transformative step towards sustainable energy and waste management. They hold immense potential to revolutionize India's renewable energy landscape by converting organic waste into clean energy and promoting sustainable development. A systematic monitoring and analysis of biogas plants across India is needed to harness this potential fully.

This web-based application developed under the Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded project - Organic Waste Streams for Industrial Renewable Energy Applications in India which is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and executed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) facilitates remote monitoring and analysis of the industrial biogas plants in India. It also provides overview of progress organic waste-to-energy sector to different industries, research institutes, government organisations.
